Sarah El Yousefy and Nina Ouchinsky,  are architects who graduated in 2015 from the Faculty of Architecture at Saint-Luc Brussels. Over the years, they have developed a passion for living and organic materials, their application in construction, their hidden stories, and the processes they generate.

Through their practices, they have sought to reduce the environmental impact of the construction sector. In 2023, they founded Cru Atelier, a laboratory focused on the design and production of interior and scenographic projects using organic and geo-sourced materials such as rammed earth, hemp, straw, and lime. Their creations combine craftsmanship, quality, creativity, sustainability, and sensitivity.

“We use either a lime-hemp mixture or raw earth. We apply around ten techniques by hand, working almost entirely without machines. After drying, the rough or polished finish reveals its terrazzo-like composition: we call it "earth marble".”
