& Sustainable Design Ambassador
Augusta Gallery is a pioneering sustainable design gallery co-founded in 2023, championing designers who work with reclaimed, bio-based, or geo-based (aka natural) materials. From stone furniture to innovative bio-composites, we curate exhibitions that push the boundaries of sustainable design. Due to our growth, we’re seeking a passionate and dynamic Independent Sustainable Design Ambassador & Sales Associate to join our team on a commission-based structure.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive independent professional to lead our sales efforts, expand our client base, and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients. This role is key to helping us grow our presence in the sustainable design market. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, results-driven, and deeply passionate about sustainable design and contemporary art/furniture.
This is a part-time independent contractor position with the flexibility to use the gallery as your office space. During exhibitions, you’ll be expected to be at the gallery on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 14:00 to 18:00. Hours can be reviewed and adjusted together as we grow.
We typically organize 3 exhibitions per year at the gallery(1-3 months), participate in one or two fairs and organize one or two “hors les murs” exhibitions.
This is a dynamic role with opportunities for growth and collaboration as we expand together. You’ll also play a key role in organising and executing gallery events, ensuring they align with our mission and attract the right audience.
Language Requirements:
Fluent in French, English and Dutch

Drive sales by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the sustainable design sector
Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
Handle all written communication with clients, including newsletters and follow-ups
Represent Augusta Gallery at events, openings, and meetings with potential clients
Develop and maintain a list of architects, interior designers, and design enthusiasts to contact, proposing projects featuring our designers' pieces or made-to-measure solutions
Collaborate closely with our curatorial team to align sales efforts with our exhibition calendar
Assist in organising and executing gallery events (openings, exhibitions, talks, etc.), including logistics, invitations, and promotions
Help grow and manage our social media presence (potential for intern support)
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as invoicing and updating our online gallery (potential for intern support)

This is a commission-based independent contractor role with significant earning potential. You will earn a percentage of sales generated through your efforts (details to be discussed during the interview process).

Experience in sales, client relations, or event organisation; a background in design, art, or sustainability is a plus;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills;
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks;
A passion for sustainable design and contemporary art/furniture;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Willingness to travel occasionally for events and client meetings;
Fluent in French, English, and Dutch
